Besseresser
Besseresser was born from a joint idea by Studio Raumschiff and Katharina Hohaus. Together, we developed the concept, mechanics and design of the game.
This was followed by numerous test rounds – including in a university context, at BerlinCon and at the game designers' meeting at the Ludothek Spielwiese. There, we were able to refine and further develop the game over a longer period of time.
The result is an entertaining board game for up to four people that combines elements of Overlord, Hidden Movement and Pick-Up & Deliver in around 60 minutes. Players collect fruit and vegetables and bring them home safely, while Grandma moves covertly across the board as the ‘Overlord’.
With humour and lightness, Besseresser encourages players to think about sustainable food consumption and regional nutrition.
